Crown Royal Vs Gentlemen's Jack

OF THE FREEDOM

Off the book: "attack on freedom" - obsession with security, surveillance state and the dismantling of civil rights by Iliya Troyanov and Juli Zeh.
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who give up freedom in order to gain security will end up losing both."
John Stuart Mill: "All the errors which a man can commit against better advice and warning are not nearly as bad as conditions in which others can force him into something that they think is good."
-----
"... If the policy that is claimed to want to ensure security for citizens nurtures them a dangerous mistake. ... When you were safe? If there were no more terrorists? Or no disease? If you did not leave the house? If a friend betrayed her, no lover you injured? Or death would finally be abolished? ....
.... It is the nature of man, in the unlikely events to have more anxiety than it was probable. We are most afraid of things that we encounter rarely, if ever, and we therefore can not assess. There is a theory that says that we have trained the evolution of this misunderstanding. Survival, it would serve to assess the risk of false situations. Otherwise we would get in a car that is more and not go down stairs. To remain viable, it is important to "no sense" for possibility to have, at least not true. "

From time to time I have to carry me just how transparent and monitored our life has become. We lose even basic democratic rights was fought for centuries for. The ridge on which we should move us very narrow and it is better than waking up when it will be too late.
If you throw a frog into hot water, he pops out. If the water is slowly heated, it will remain seated until he is dead - it is in this book. Are we frogs in lukewarm or at least cautious rational human being stubborn nonconformist women?
